We moved across the country. Before we left on our 5000 km trip west we traveled about half of that distance south and then returned to our point of origin. The net result was that I spent most of many days in my car for almost a month while what of our families belongings didn't travel with me, either traveled by moving van or flew out with my wife. Much of what we have is still being organized as we unpack it from boxes.
One of the places we went on our vacation before we moved out west was Pigeon Forge. There we got an Old Tyme photo taken. We also got the disk with many, many photos on it as well. It wasn't cheap at all but it was really nice. I have yet to see the disc or any of the pictures. It is lost. I am hoping that it shows up so that I can look at all the pictures, share the pictures on social media, give some copies to my kids grandparents, etc. But so far it hasn't shown up.
This, I think, is a micro chasm of a facet of how salvation works. God sent Jesus, his only begotten son, so that none may perish but may inherit eternal life. He bought the disc. Some of us, however, have not unpacked it yet, some of us have misplaced it, some of us have lost it. He bought and paid for each and everyone of our salvation, some of us just haven't been enjoying it yet.
For those of us who have not enjoyed the eternal disc of salvation yet, I encourage you to look for it. God promises that indeed, as we do, we will find it (Matthew 7:7-8)
